Starting Fresh April 29, 2008
Hello world and how the hell are you, as they say. I’m creating this blog in order to express my opinions and views about certain issues, mostly centering around technology and business, but also about my day-to-day life, and some of the other fine things in this world that I enjoy. Much of the time, I intend to make this weblog an extended tweet if you will for you Twitter users, letting you know what I’m up to in hopes that what you read will be interesting.
So here goes: I’m sitting on the back porch of my good friends Luke and Taylor in Cambridge, MA. sipping a beer. A weird German beer called EKU that I’ve never heard of before today. It’s fairly dark, though not like a porter…more like a dark pale ale. We (Aimee and I) made an offer on a house here in town today, though it’s actually more like a condo. I must say though I hate that word ‘condo’ and the designation that comes with it. It makes me think of the huge condominium development down the road from where I grew up that took away a great field where we used to play football and mess around. My friends’ parents once rented one of the units and it was horrible, shag carpet throughout. I’ve hated the word ‘condo’ ever since.
It’s pouring outside here. The periodic sort of driving rain that soaks you and makes you miserable if you’re caught in it, but has a certain beauty watching it from a dry spot like this porch. I’ve recently decided to move across the country back to the east coast where it all began for me from the fabulous Bay Area where I’ve been for the past two years. I am excited to move, but do have mixed feelings, as there are many things and people that I will not be around to and see as much. Certainly I will miss the weather as I realize I am starting to get some mist on my screen. Better head in, more later.
