Ok, here’s the idea: Make an iPhone (or G1 or other smart phone) app that allows buyers to stream all of the content form a particular band’s library – for a nominal fee – say $3.  The band gets a bunch of revenue from the sale of the app and instantly has a distribution model that is current and innovative.  The ’90’s band ‘Presidents of the United States of America’ (remember that song “Peaches”?) is doing just that, app will be out soon it sounds like.  Interesting to see how it does.
