What Does the Future of Tech Look Like? Microsoft Gives Their View March 2, 2009
Saw this today from Download Squad – A Microsoft commercial which attempts to give us a pretty clear view of some future products. Actually turned out to be a pretty cool video. Some of my favorites from the video are the ridiculous looking flexible digital newspaper, the really cool looking UI’s they show and some of the translation technology. Also interesting to note that a lot of this stuff appears to be heavily touch centric – something Microsoft is banking on heavily with their Surface product that is upcoming. Take a look:
Now wouldn’t it be cool if other public tech companies (I’m thinking Apple, Adobe, Amazon, etc…) made their own videos like this?
This is cool. At my last company, we were developing a health information system. Our software ran on a touch screen tablet like the video but was far from it. Don’t remember the name who made the item, but the touch screen technology is beginning to get out there. Cool idea, but I think Apple would have to design the application to make it look cool and easily usable.
