Blogging Down East Maine April 22, 2009
Here we are (as @taylorbarstow likes to say), in the middle of nowhere, but absolutely beautiful Down East Maine Coast. I’m writing this from Stonington on Deer Isle, right on Penobscot Bay. We started our trip in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island, which was awesome, though the weather didn’t totally cooperate, unfortunately. Monday was gorgeous though and we took advantage. Although Tuesday was raining, it turned out to be an awesome day too, as the big moment came to fruition and Aimee and I got engaged after 5+ wonderful years together. I wanted to keep my commentary short here and just share some images of our trip (taken from my iPhone…apologies for the low quality. More to come soon):
Puttin pressure on me now kid. Get your butts back to Boston quick on Saturday so we can cozy on up to a bar and toast to your new engagement.
