CEO’s That Inspire Create Awesome Reputations for the Companies They Lead July 29, 2009
Probably the thing that I admire most about certain high level company executives is the way that they put themselves out into the public sphere and share information they’ve learned over their careers. After all, most CEO’s of top technology companies have either founded the companies they lead or were brought in at an early stage, so they have incredible stories, insight and knowledge about what it’s like to build companies.
When certain executives put themselves out there and produce videos, speeches and interviews about their work, what usually comes out is a great story that can help other developing entrepreneurs along the way. This in turn also creates excellent brand recognition and awareness from people who watch the videos because it makes the executive’s companies less corporate and more organic full of interesting people. Google has been able to do this really well (”Don’t be evil”), as have many others – here are some examples of the most common found CEO speakers on the web:
Paul Graham – Y Combinator:
Steve Jobs – Apple:
Jobs and Bill Gates Together – Apple and Microsoft: (see following videos for the rest of it)
Guy Kawasaki – Garage Ventures and Alltop:
Jeff Bezos – Amazon:
Eric Schmidt – Google:
